I have no particular interest in them, but spotted this pricy beauty and figured someone here would appreciate it.

Why would someone put those wheels on that
They really don’t fit the car. They don’t look a ny better on a Porsche either

That look like the 300zx wheels from the 1990s, and I agree they don't belong

I never look at wheels, so didn’t notice those, but even I can tell they’re awful. Ugh.

Oh I knew her well. I had a ‘68 1800s. Simple, Slow, [even with a B20 engine and OD ], and one of the warmest cockpits ever. Engine essence would wick through the fire wall producing off a wonderful bouquet of Castrol, gasoline, and leather. I miss her and her 220 Amazon long roof predecessor, but driving her was work, she had more blind spots than Hellen Keller’s closet.

I’ve always loved that car. The roof and windows remind me of the P- 51B.

I’ll be damned. I can definitely see the resemblance.

I thought “Wow that’ s a great car for $2, 690 !”. Then I read it again.
$26,900.00. Ouchy price for an old Volvo.

Definitely falls into the realm of “if I won the lottery I’d seriously consider it but otherwise no f’n way” pricing.

I bought my 66 as a project about 6 years back and haven’t driven it yet . Always run into the, well while I am doing X I might as well update Y, dil emm a. I have a fully machined 2.0 top and bottom end just waiting to be put together. I hope to get to it this winter. I even had the B20 manifold updated with port injectors in thoughts of giving the 66 fuel injection, and a Yoshifab conversion for the distributor so it fits a DSM camshaft angle sensor for full electronic ignition. Giving up on that idea and am hope to finally get it driving this year. I have the SU carbs, but they probably need some attention.
